Cable, battery and generator puzzle
Start at GEN and keep one continuous cable to Psi 07. Do not jump to a door that just opened. Sigma 03 opens red, Sigma 02 opens green, and Delta 03 opens blue. You still have a single Goop cube until the R&D upgrade.
What I checked
Three write-ups agree on the same GEN-to-Psi-07 string, and one of the Steam guides has a developer reply under it. A second 20-terminal variant appears in one walkthrough. I print the short route as the main answer and mention the longer one as an alternate, not as a correction.
The route players keep repeating
Read the symbols on the modules in front of you. Greek letters here are the labels those guides use.
- GEN to Psi 01, Psi 04, Psi 02, Psi 03, Psi 06.
- Sigma 04, Sigma 03, Sigma 01, Sigma 02.
- Psi 08, Theta 03, Delta 02, Delta 03.
- Lambda 02, Lambda 03, Lambda 01, then Psi 07.
One walkthrough inserts Theta 02, Theta 04, Delta 05 and Delta 04 after Theta 03. If your board has those extra modules, you are on that longer route. Do not skip modules to force the short list.
Rules that cause resets
Each module is used once and must connect to the one you just powered. Opening a colored door is not a cue to run across the room. A reset can keep battery progress you already finished, according to the generator guide, but I would still photograph the board before you pull a cable.

Why did a new module not count?
You probably jumped. Continue from the module that just turned on.

Guides disagree on the case. Match the shape on your panel.
