Does it have a Friend Pass?
As of 23 October 2026, the official Steam DLC list contains only the Fan Edition and the Soundtrack. The official FAQ does not list a Friend Pass. Community guides and one critic review say both players need a copy. Check the store before you assume that is permanent.
What I checked
I read the DLC array on Steam appdetails, which returned only 5202800 and 5202830. I then read the official FAQ and did not find a buddy-pass sentence. I am not calling that an official denial. I am saying it was not listed.
What two copies cost
At the $19.99 list price, two copies are $39.98. At the 10 percent Steam price captured on 23 October, two copies are $35.98. The same doubling applies to €19.99 and £16.99.
Crossplay does not remove the second purchase. A PS5 player and a Steam player can join each other, and each shop still charges for its own copy.
How to read the gap
A missing store row is not the same sentence as 'we will never add a Friend Pass.' MondoXbox, cited on OpenCritic, mentioned the lack of a buddy pass. Steam player guides say two copies. If Total Mayhem Games adds a pass later, the DLC list is the place it would show up.
Questions
Can one person buy it and invite a friend for free?
Not with any pass listed on 23 October 2026.
Does the Fan Edition include a second game copy?
No. It is an art book, soundtrack and wallpapers for someone who already owns the game.
Which earlier games had a free friend copy?
This page does not borrow their policies. Tomorrow's store page is the only one that matters here.
