Endings at Rift Zero
The finale offers two console choices, Close Rift or Stabilize Rift. They are separate outcomes. Dawn of Tomorrow and Tomorrow May Never Come cannot both unlock in the same run. Chapter select is how you see the other one.

What I checked
I matched the achievement descriptions on Steam, Secured Rift Zero and Closed Rift Zero, with the two button names in the community walkthrough. The one-to-one mapping is still an inference. I say that in the spoiler section instead of pretending the studio confirmed it.
Before you read further
If you only want to know whether the ending splits, you can stop here. It splits. You can come back with chapter select. Nothing below is required to finish a first run safely.
What the two achievements say — reveal spoilers
Dawn of Tomorrow is described as securing Rift Zero. Tomorrow May Never Come is described as closing Rift Zero. Players map Stabilize to the first and Close to the second. That mapping is community-reported. Verify it on the console before you treat it as fact.
There is no verified secret ending. A Steam guide with that title is a joke about kissing your partner. I am not building a page for it.

Questions
How many endings?
Two choices, and two mutually exclusive achievements.
Can I see both?
Yes, by replaying the finale from chapter select after the first clear.
Does the story require earlier games?
No. The ending still stands alone, even though the series shares a studio and a tone.
Keep going
