Privacy policy
This policy matches the scripts the site actually loads: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Adsterra (Native Banner and Social Bar), and a YouTube player that starts when you press play. Ads and session recording load by default on a first visit; Reject turns the ads and the recording off for 180 days.
What I checked
I checked the built HTML and the network panel before writing this page. The ad and recording tags are created by our own loader after first paint, and the only third-party script tag in the first response is Google Analytics 4.
What is stored on your device
Two localStorage keys belong to this site. wwht_consent holds a JSON object with choice (granted or denied) and at (a millisecond timestamp); it is kept for 180 days and then treated as no choice. wwht_adbar_closed holds {at} and remembers that you closed the Adsterra Social Bar, also for 180 days. Neither key is sent to us and neither is a cookie.
Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies _ga and _ga_WWX8VM462M, both with a two-year expiry, to tell one browser from another. We do not read them; they are set by gtag.js on our domain.
Microsoft Clarity sets _clck (about one year) and _clsk (about one day) and writes browser storage entries whose names start with clarity_ to keep a session together. It also builds a session recording: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and page text as rendered, with form fields masked by default.
Adsterra serves the Native Banner and the Social Bar inside its own frames. Those frames can set cookies and localStorage under bicea.org and the creative's own host; the names are chosen by the network and the advertiser, not by us. We do not read them. Blocking third-party storage in your browser stops them without breaking the guide.
The YouTube player is not requested on page load. Pressing play loads youtube-nocookie.com, and Google may set its own cookies at that moment. Before the press the page shows a poster hosted on this site.
Third parties, purposes and retention
Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WWX8VM462M, Google Ireland/Google LLC) measures page views, referrers, device class and approximate country so we know which guides are read. Hosts: www.googletagmanager.com and *.google-analytics.com. It loads by default and remains enabled after Reject. The _ga cookies normally expire after two years. This page does not claim an unverified property-level event-retention setting. The three advertising consent signals start denied before config, then follow the default or stored choice; Reject keeps them denied.
Microsoft Clarity (project z20blo7fhq, Microsoft Corporation) records sessions and builds heatmaps so layout problems are visible. Hosts: www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and collection subdomains under *.clarity.ms. It loads by default; Reject stops it. Microsoft's current retention documentation lists ordinary playback data for 30 days and heatmap data and selected recordings for up to nine months. Clarity receives the public project identifier, not your name or email from this site.
Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6143476, units NativeBanner_1 31875005 and SocialBar_1 31875006) fills the Native Banner and the fixed Social Bar at the bottom. Host: bicea.org and the ad frames it creates. Both unit scripts load by default; Reject stops their loading. Adult ads are switched off for this site. Ad-storage names and lifetimes are controlled by the network and advertiser; we do not claim a fixed lifetime that we have not verified. ads.txt on this domain declares adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT.
Personalised-advertising opt-outs: Google ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com/, the DAA choice page at https://optout.aboutads.info/, and the European page at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Your browser's third-party-cookie and tracking-protection settings also apply to the ad frames.
YouTube (Google) plays an official trailer after you press play. Host: www.youtube-nocookie.com. Legal basis: the step you take to watch the video; retention follows https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Email sent to [email protected] is read to answer a correction or a privacy request and is not added to an advertising list. The host keeps short-lived access logs that can include an IP address for security. We do not run a separate visitor database and we do not sell personal data.
Default loading, Reject, GPC and your choices
A first visit has no stored choice, so the page treats it as granted: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and the Adsterra units start on the first screen, and the banner tells you so. This is default loading with a withdrawal, not a gate. The banner stays until you press OK or Reject, and Cookie settings in the footer opens it again at any time.
Reject writes denied to wwht_consent for 180 days, sets ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied, stops Clarity, then reloads the page so already-running ad and recorder code is gone. The new page and subsequent pages load neither the Adsterra tags nor Clarity until the record expires or you choose OK again. OK also reloads to apply the choice. The Social Bar's own close button is remembered separately in wwht_adbar_closed.
Google Analytics 4 keeps analytics_storage granted even after Reject: we count page views without ad storage, and the consent default keeps ads_data_redaction on so ad click identifiers are redacted. If you want analytics off as well, block googletagmanager.com in your browser; the guide still works.
Global Privacy Control (navigator.globalPrivacyControl) is treated as Reject at page load: the site stores denied instead of waiting for a click. Do Not Track is not visible to page script in every browser, so GPC is the signal we honour automatically; use Reject for the rest.
You can withdraw at any time with Cookie settings, and you can erase wwht_consent and wwht_adbar_closed yourself in your browser's site-data panel. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened, and it does not stop the host's security logs.
Rights, legal bases and changes
You can ask for a copy of the email you sent us, a correction, or deletion of that correspondence by writing to [email protected]. You can ask what analytics or ad data is associated with you, although we hold no key that maps a visitor to a name.
Default loading is not prior opt-in: opening the site starts the services described above before you choose. This policy describes that behavior and does not claim that a default choice is affirmative consent. You can contact us about processing, use Reject for ads and recording, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
Material changes to this policy get a new date in the line above and ship with the code change that causes them. The date on this page is 23 October 2026.
Questions
Do you sell personal data?
No. There is no account, no email list and no data broker on this site.
Which localStorage keys does the site write?
wwht_consent for your OK/Reject choice and wwht_adbar_closed for the Social Bar's close button, both kept 180 days.
Do ads load before I click OK?
Yes. A first visit loads Adsterra, Clarity and Google Analytics 4 by default and the banner tells you; Reject turns the ads and the recording off for 180 days.
How do I reopen the choice?
Cookie settings in the footer shows the banner again; OK and Reject both rewrite the stored choice.
