Floppy disk and resin puzzle
The resin mixer sequence cited by both walkthroughs is 4, 3, 1, 4: styrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, styrene. Floppy door 1 uses four 90-degree dials. Door 2 moves in 45-degree steps, including diagonals. The 3D printer is a 4 by 4 toggle grid.
What I checked
I kept the resin numbers because two pages state them in text. I did not copy a printer pattern, because the pages describe the central button changing the light and the cursor only moving, which means the picture can differ.
Resin, then the doors
This is in the miniature laboratory, before the cargo elevator.
- Set the mixer to 4, then 3, then 1, then 4.
- On door 1, turn four dials in 90-degree clicks until each matches the card.
- On door 2, use 45-degree clicks. Diagonals count.
- If a dial overshoots, the red indicator resets that attempt. Read the target again before you spin.
The printer grid
The central button changes whether a cell is lit. Moving the cursor does not, by itself, flip the cell. Agree which of you calls the grid and which of you presses the center, or you will undo each other.
Questions
Are 4-3-1-4 chemical names required?
The numbers are the input. The names are styrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, styrene, if the labels help you remember.
Why did door 2 feel wrong?
It is the 45-degree door. Door 1 is only quarter-turns.
Is the printer pattern fixed?
I do not have a text pattern I trust. Use the lights on your grid.
