Rune puzzle solution
There are two rune types. Plant runes are the crosses. Effect runes are the triangles. Put the effect you need on the plant you need, and do not stack an increase with a decrease. The eye must see a player or the device looks broken.
What I checked
The Steam rune guide and the GrindnStrat page are mostly pictures. I am not transcribing a combo from a screenshot I cannot re-check in game. The rules below are the sentences those pages actually write.
Rules you can apply without a screenshot
This follows the greenhouse, on the botanical devices.
- Sort tiles into crosses (plants) and triangles (effects).
- One plant, one effect, unless the device shows two slots on purpose.
- If two effects contradict, pull one off.
- Stand where the eye can see you before you judge the result.
- The player with the cube and the player using the velcro tool do not share a setup. Say which body you are before you copy a step.
- Leave the devices marked inactive alone. Powering them is a fail state in the notes.
What I will not print
A numbered rune recipe would be a guess. If you are holding a photo from your own game, read that photo to your partner. A guide image from another session can show a different plant.
Questions
Why is there no 1-2-3 code?
The text sources do not contain one. The pictures might, and pictures can be session-specific.
The device does nothing.
Check the eye's line of sight before you swap runes.
Is this the greenhouse again?
It comes after it and uses the same eye, but the tiles are different.
